In addition to providing invaluable time for programmers to chat and bounce around ideas, WebDevStudios also sets aside time for Five for the Future, which is dedicated time for us to give back to the open source community. Particular thanks to my co-workers Aubrey Portwood, Richard Aber, Ashar Irfan, and Justin Foell for all their input and solutions to problems I couldn’t figure out. The updates to make this compatible with LocalWP (instead of the old Local by Flywheel) came out of one of those meetings. Thanks to my employer WebDevStudios who provides weekly time when our programmers can gather and chat about technology and bounce around ideas. The Quick Setup files come from my salcode/wpcli-localwp-setup project. I am considering writing a new CLI command for testing issues such as this. I do not have Windows to test with, and am relying on user reports (2 that I am aware of) to help diagnose/debug.

We define the path to the WordPress install in relation to and we require the file be run before any of the WordPress files. Exit menu by click x button on the upper right.Set Router Mode from the default “Site Domains” to “localhost”.But it shouldn’t matter in the development. Downside, your local site installation will use localhost as domain name instead of your site domain. This will allow Local to automatically find available port on your computer. There are two (2) workarounds that solved the issue. I’ve experienced the same port conflict when I was using XAMPP or MAMP.
